My sewing machine that I have had since I was about 10, saw the light today!!! Woot woot! I actually learned how to use the thing!
Youtube was extremely helpful . My thread kept getting all bunchy, but I learned that I didn’t have my bobbin all the way clicked in.
As I clicked the bobbin in, something clicked in my heart and mind. I felt fulfilled. That may sound crazy, but I don’t care.
I cheered for myself each time I figured out a little part of using this machine. It has been too long since I have learned something new. I felt joy.(Maybe that was just the wonderful air conditioner blowing on my back, but whatever it was it was nice). Aaaahhhhh… It was a good day.
I could list all of the things that fell by the wayside today, but I’m not going to.
I learned to operate my sewing machine and rebelliously constructed a dog bed my own way
– without a pattern!
I’m happy about that.
My creative self feels fulfilled.
I look forward to learning more things and to experimenting more with my newfound love, sewing.
Lots of curtain creations are in my near future.
I can’t wait to share all of my projects with you, and I hope you also find joy in the little things today.
God Bless!
