Lyme Healing – My Lyme Story (Part 2)

lyme healingLyme Healing- Is it Possible?

Two words that you rarely see together are Lyme and Healing. Research online will leave you with the impression that most people with Lyme can expect a long, drawn out battle that can span years and years. There may be some periods of feeling better, but overall, they can expect to keep fighting almost endlessly. That is the optimistic side of it when people know that they have Lyme in the first place and know what they are fighting. The other side is the many cases that go misdiagnosed or undiagnosed and the people who struggle on in constant battles against symptoms rather than the root cause.

killyuckiesLyme Healing – Symptoms

I have been struggling with those symptoms – like running around with a sword in the dark. Sometimes I would get lucky and hit something and get temporary relief, but in the dark I remained. When I found out I had Lyme, it was like the light was turned on. I could see a bunch of those little nasties and I knew the weapon that was needed to slay them all. The changes I have made since finding out about it have helped me immensely, but I want more! I stabbed a few of those nasties with my sword and had temporary relief, but they need to be removed from my life.

Lyme Healing – Craniobiotic Technique

The doctor who diagnosed me and is helping me get my Lyme Healing uses a therapy he developed called CBT or CranioBiotic Technique. The short version and the way that I can explain it at this point is, he uses magnets to help your brain focus in and fight in the areas that have problems. This process not only temporarily relieves symptoms of Lyme, but helps your body rid itself of it  all together (and all of the co-infections that go with it). It is absolutely amazing!

After eight long months since being diagnosed with Lyme Disease, the day has finally arrived for me to get the Lyme Stop treatment I need to start feeling better.  I have been dealing with these problems for so long that I don’t even know what to expect, but I am optimistic for a complete Lyme Healing. The first step is to rid my body of the yuckies and then to replenish my body with much needed nutrients.

worst symptom listLyme Healing – Lyme Stop Apt 1 & 2

Yesterday was my first two of six therapies that I will receive this week. During my appointments, Dr. Smith told me the Lyme was in my blood, spleen, joints, and even my teeth. He also said that I had protozoa parasites in my brain and an infection in my left lung that was only functioning at 60%. That would explain the constant breathing battle I have been enduring. Shortness of breath and fatigue are battling for the number one spot at the top of my worst Lyme symptom list. I hate them both! That wasn’t even the worst of it!

Lyme Healing – Lyme Has My Kids, but Not For Long

The worst part and most difficult to bear was finding out that my kiddos also have it! I went through a plethora of emotions after the first appointment when I found out. Relief, frustration, helplessness, etc. The list goes on and on. Now that I have settled down a bit, I realize that knowing is a blessing and there is hope that my kids will get better. The mystery of why they have so many problems (eczema, asthma, sever food allergies, etc.) has been shattered. It is all the Lyme Disease! The hardest part is knowing that there is an answer, a beacon of hope to rid their bodies of this thing, and not being able to access it “right now.” Dr. Smith is helping so many people, and because of that, appointments with him must be scheduled about five months in advance. The other thing that worries me, is paying for the treatments for them.

God is in ControlLyme Healing – God is in Control

However, looking back over all of those details, the one thing I know, above all of it, is that God is in Control! I believe He led me to find Dr. Smith, He has given Dr. Smith a special gift, and He worked out all of the details for me to be sitting here now writing this very post. He will work out every detail for my kiddos too. As much as I love them, God loves them so much more! He wants them healed. I believe that with everything I am. It is going to be okay. It is going to be better than okay. I am so thankful!

Lyme Healing – Lyme Stop Apt 3 & 4

Anyway, back to my journey thus far. Today was my 3rd and 4th appointments out of the six total needed to complete the Lyme Healing. Dr. Smith found chlamydia pneumoniae in my blood. No, I DO NOT have a STD! This is a different thing. Anyway, it is a pretty nasty infection. Again, seems to be something that could be affecting my breathing. I am so glad and thankful he is able to locate these problems and eliminate them so quickly, easily, and painlessly. It amazes me.

Lyme Healing – There is HOPE

You may be reading this right now and be extremely skeptical. That is okay. You can think that I’m a quack or he’s a quack or whatever. This blog is not for you then. This is for the people out there seriously going through something who are frustrated and need help. I am writing this for my own benefit yes, but also hopefully to help someone out there to know that there is hope.

Lyme Healing – Supplements

The second part of my day today (4th appointment), included going over the many supplements I will be taking following my treatment. They have explained to me at Dr. Smith’s office that Lyme robs your body of nutrients. You can take a ton of vitamins, but it may do little good while Lyme is still the king inside your body (my wording not theirs). Once Lyme is dethroned, it is time to strengthen your body. It is going to be a challenge for me to take all of the vitamins on schedule, but I am excited for the results. I will keep my eye on the BIG PICTURE – my LYME HEALING. I will do whatever I can do to reach out and claim it.

Tomorrow is a day off from treatment. So far, I am not having much if any detox symptoms so I am enjoying this vacation of sorts. For tomorrow, I am prescribing some serious Thrift Store Therapy!

To be continued…

God Bless You All!

I Would Rather Have Strep Throat…

I woke up a couple of days ago with a very sore and very swollen throat. I didn’t think much of it, because my youngest daughter had been sick the week before. I just assumed my body was trying to fight it off. Then I woke up yesterday and it felt worse. I decided to […]

You will Never get Fully Clean in Your Old Machine

I have learned that sometimes it is better to pay the full price and get new. Buying a new washer & dryer taught me that sometimes paying full price is worth the cost. Jesus paid full price to make us clean, and we are new creations in Him…. Here is the story of how I […]

Why I am So Sick of Webinars!

What I’ve Learned From Webinars: I have wasted too many hours watching webinars. I have learned a lot from them, but very little of it has helped me personally in any way shape or form. I have come to realize many things about webinars themselves, and I hope if I ever make one that I […]

The Struggle is Real, but There’s Power in Connection

Searching for Self-Help: Lately, I’ve been doing an overall assessment of my life and trying my best to make improvements, stay motivated, and change my thinking. I’ve been reading a lot of what I would call Christian self-help books as well as blog posts from successful bloggers. Chronically, I find myself wondering whether I will […]

Recipe Sesame – How to make dinner when you’ve failed to plan.

Recipe Sesame – Meal Planning Failure: I wish that I could say that I am a meal-planning guru, but sadly I am not. I have had some experience with freezer meals, but otherwise, I am more of a wing-it wonder. Out of pure necessity, I have learned to excel at creating meals from what I […]

Hidden Pantry Storage Solution

Where is This Hidden Storage You are Not Utilizing? It is staring you in the face. You may not realize it, but the door that you open and close every time you enter your pantry is an excellent area for added storage. If you have a small area for food storage, as I do, you […]

Where’s the Joy in Happy New Year

Today is the last day of 2016. I think over the past year with bittersweet reflection. As a stay-at home-mom, I consider all of the beautiful moments with my awesome kids and how I must be doing something right with them, because they are so great. I love them with all my heart, and I […]

Lyme Slime Taking My Time – My Lyme Story Part 6

Lyme Slime Hanging Onto Me: I saw my doctor yesterday. The Lyme was still “gone,” but he did find a lyme co-infection in my brain and quite a few other things that are causing me to still feel crappy. I keep wondering, when I will feel better?! I struggle to keep faith in the process […]

I Cannot Believe It! Dairy-Free Eggnog. Yes!!! I am so happy to be doing this Silk Almond Nog Review! This is my first product review for my blog, and I am super excited about this product! Every year, I buy eggnog for my husband. He loves it. I love it too, but it does not […]

Free Ice Water & A Little Faith

I’m Still Here: You may have been wondering why it has been so long since I have written a blog post.. I think this is my first bout of “blogger’s block.” Like “writer’s block,” but with a blog. The one year anniversary for this blog came and went, and I had to make a big […]

How To Contact Paper the Back of a Shelf

Cheap (Inexpensive)-Shelf-Addict: I would definitely consider myself a cheap-shelf-addict. I am obsessed with those little shelves you can buy for next to nothing new and even closer to nothing at yard sales. I love them so much because they are cheap (inexpensive) and VERSATILE. They can be a book shelf, a craft organizer, a toy […]

Light in the Mommy Battle

How to Paint a Herringbone Pattern

Herringbone is very on-trend right now, and the pattern seemed like the perfect match for my large wall in my living room. I searched for other people’s projects on Pinterest, but did not really find many DIY posts on the topic. I hope people wanting to go for this awesome look, will find this post […]

Roads & Reflections

Time to Take a Crazy Drive: I recently went on a spur of the moment road trip to see my family. This is not something that I do. EVER! My Dad called up and said he had the coming week off, and that we should drive down. I hadn’t seen my Dad in about 4 […]

Lyme Treatment FollowUp – My Lyme Story (Part 5)

Lyme Treatment FollowUp: In the Dumps The last post I wrote about my Lyme issues was a pretty big downer. I was feeling pretty crummy for about 3 weeks prior to this week.  I was losing faith in the whole process (Lyme Stop), and was having anxiety over seeing Dr. Smith for my Lyme-Stop Treatment […]

You Rip What You Sew

You Rip What You Sew – Unwarranted Confidence: My second set of curtains ever was almost finished. I thought, “Wooohooo, three panels down and one to go.” I held up the panel I was working on and realized I had folded the seam the wrong way and sewed it up. I held up the last […]
